NORTHWIND CAPRICE
Northwind Caprice aka "Piggy" is a
bay, 14 yr old, Registered Section A Mare.
Piggy came to us by chance when I
was enquiring in a leadline pony for Megan to show at Welsh Shows.
Her owners were considering
selling her as she loves children and excels on the leadline and they thought
that she was wasted as just a broodmare.
When we saw video of her and
photos we just fell in love with her, she had just had a foal who we bought
with her "Garden Gate Giggles & Grins" who is by
FarnleyMagic Flute.
Piggy was bred by Mrs.Prue
Richardson at the Northwind Stud, who is very well known for her beautiful
Welsh Ponies.
She is by a lovely mare Weston
Prelude and her sire is Revel Capip.
Caprice's sire is one of the most
famous Section A Foundation Sires, and we think she is the youngest living
daughter by him.
Revel Capip is very well known and
had won numerous awards and achievements throughout his life.
He produced many winners, Foundations Sires and Mares through the years.
Two of the most famous offspring
are Liseter Gladness and Liseter Reveller, who have made a mark in the USA.
Piggy has had a few foals, one of
course being the filly that is on the yearling page but others include Relhok
Austin Healy.
He is a handsome dun stallion and
he has become a driving and halter Multi Champion for the Relhok Stud in
Canada.
Piggy will be bred to one of our
stallions next year for a 2007 foal, at the moment she has duties to carry out
with Megan !
