Wyevre Alexandra

It was June 4th 2006 at 1.00am in the morning and our very pregnant mare, Lexi looked very restless.

We watched and watched with friends in the UK tuning in to the PONYCAM, and the start of labor was happening. Lexi was coping well and laid down and within minutes the site of the feet of our new foal appeared.

Mum and I rushed to the barn, prepared camcorders, camera's and watched in anticipation of our long awaited foal.

Slowly the knees were appearing, and then things were slowing down. Lexi was finding things a little difficult, this was obviously a large foal and she needed help.

I went into the stall and she looked up at me, the look was thankful of the help and I very gently put pressure on the foals legs and very slightly helped pull with each contraction.

The head appeared, then the shoulders, then the body and then the back legs.

Immediately our brand new foal was squirming out of the bag as Lexi let out a huge sigh and look round at her new COLT!

The first signs were great, it was very obvious that he had the most shiniest coal black coat, with one small white foot and a star-just like his father!

This foal has already been blessed,  he has wonderful SUPREME / MULTI CHAMPION parents.

His dam is Wyvere Alexandra, who has excelled in English, Western, Dressage, Eventing, Hunters and much more, coupled with her amazingly gentle temperament.

His sire GF Prince Albert has too excelled in many disciplines and his most prestigious awards yet, is obtaining his LOM (Legion of Merit) at the age of 4!!!

I have every hope that this awesome colt will follow in his parents footsteps, after all it is in his genes!
